This is the wooden wheel of an old pram from the early 1900’s. While the whole pram is weathered and has lots of stories to tell, there is something about the wheels that really struck me. I started thinking about all the roads that stroller was pushed over and I am wondering which ones are still there, which ones are now paved and which ones might still be exactly the same as they were almost a hundred years ago.
This is an old storage barn in Switzerland. It was built about 400 years ago and has seen lots of sun, rain, snow and hail and stood through many a storm, keeping whatever was stored inside safe and dry. The walls are made from sandstone and time has not been kind. Yet the building is still standing, sturdy and impressive as ever.
